Day Two of the Advanced Child Protection Training, organised by NAATIP in partnership with Free a Girl and Scientia, focused on practical, hands-on exercises designed to strengthen participants’ digital investigation and intelligence capabilities in combating Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC).
Participants were introduced to the Scientia Intelligence Hub and investigative tools, covering OSINT and data fusion, facial recognition, reverse image/face searching, digital tracing and related intelligence techniques. The sessions also explored mobile device forensics, CSAM categorisation, media extraction, deleted-file recovery, hash matching and evidence packaging.
The training concluded with a real-world OSEC case study, walking participants through the investigative process from the initial tip-off to victim identification and rescue, followed by a recap, questions and answers.
NAATIP continues to strengthen the capacity of key stakeholders through partnerships, innovation and digital skills to better protect children and combat trafficking and online exploitation.
