Today, the National Agency Against Trafficking in Persons (NAATIP) successfully conducted a capacity building training for 32 health personnel drawn from various health facilities within Banjul, Kanifing Municipality (KMC), and the West Coast Region — including EFSTH, Bakau Health Center, Sukuta Health Center, Yundum Health Center, Fajikunda Health Center, Brufut Health Center, Serekunda Health Center, among others.
The training focused on enhancing the capacity of frontline health workers to identify, respond to, and refer victims of trafficking in accordance with the National Referral Mechanism (NRM).
This initiative forms part of NAATIP’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national response and coordination in the fight against human trafficking and to ensure that victims receive the protection and care they deserve.
