The National Agency Against Trafficking in Persons (NAATIP) has continues with Day Two of the three-day workshop on “Operationalizing the National Action Plan Against Trafficking in Persons (NAP-TIP) 2026–2030: Strengthening National Coordination, Reporting and Implementation. Todays sessions focused on strengthening national reporting, information management and coordination mechanisms to support effective monitoring of the implementation of the NAP-TIP.
The day commenced with a recap of Day One, allowing participants to reflect on previous discussions and align key priorities and outcomes identified. Participants then examined what information NAATIP should collect from implementing institutions, reaching agreement on the minimum information required to effectively monitor progress and track implementation of activities under the NAP-TIP.
The workshop proceeded with a presentation of draft reporting tools, introducing proposed reporting templates. This was followed by an interactive working session during which members of the National Task Force reviewed, simplified and improved the draft templates to ensure they are practical, realistic and responsive to the reporting needs of implementing institutions.
Participants subsequently engaged in the validation of the recommended reporting and implementation tools, reaching consensus on the reporting templates, implementation tracker and institutional reporting responsibilities. Discussions also focused on developing a National Reporting Calendar and Information Flow, with participants agreeing on reporting frequency, submission timelines, reporting channels and coordination arrangements.
Day Two therefore marked an important step towards establishing a practical and coordinated national reporting system that will enable NAATIP and implementing institutions to track progress, identify implementation gaps, strengthen accountability and support evidence-based decision-making throughout the implementation of the NAP-TIP 2026–2030.
The workshop brings together members of the National Task Force on Trafficking in Persons as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national coordination and ensure that the NAP-TIP is effectively translated from strategy into measurable action and results.
